Mmm . . . KP enjoy most of these too!
Today we had 'Open Classrooms' at HPS to celebrate Education Week. KP had the most wonderful day, welcoming mums, dads, grandparents and friends to our classroom this morning. After singing our 'Three Little Fishies' song it was time to work through our contract tasks with our special visitors. There was some role reversal going on this morning with KP taking on the role of teachers! We read out sight words to our parents/grandparents who had to make the words with the magnetic letters. We taught our parents/grandparents how to use the augmented reality Quiver app on the iPads. We read out a question on a class poster and our parents/grandparents had to write an answer. We also taught our parents/grandparents how to play a maths game. Our parents also took turns reading with us. There was just enough time to look at a variety of our work books including our maths, writing and science journals and to finish off an encore performance of our song! It was then time for some lunch while listening to our band perform under the COLA. KP would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who visited us today, we thoroughly enjoyed our special morning with you. Here is what our mums and grandparents really enjoyed doing when they were at school.
